Kazakhstan will send $1 million in humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. This was announced by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today, November 3, during the 10th summit of the Organisation of Turkic States.
"In the north, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, in the Middle East - between Israel and Palestine. Instability persists in Afghanistan. In the West, the problem of illegal migration is worsening. Today, the victims of the confrontation are civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially children and the elderly. The main task is to ensure their safety. In this regard, I have decided to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the amount of $1 million," Tokayev said.
The President stressed that it is "absolutely unacceptable" to solve pressing problems that have not been solved for decades through violence and terrorist acts. In his opinion, an aggravation of the situation could lead to serious consequences.
"In this regard, we call for any conflicts to be resolved exclusively through peaceful negotiations and diplomatic dialogue. For us, preserving the territorial integrity of all states and non-interference in their internal affairs are key priorities. It is important to strictly implement the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and respect the norms of international law," Tokayev said.
