Kyrgyzstan's intelligence services prevented an attempt to violently seize power

According to a statement from the special services, the detainees, who supported the ideology of criminals and fanatically professed religious beliefs, were planning to organize mass riots involving the death of people. As a result of investigative and operational measures, all six citizens were placed in a temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security.

The State Committee for National Security claims that the group intended to destabilize the situation in the country by resorting to violent methods. During searches at the place of residence of group members, components for improvised explosive devices, weapons, ammunition, walkie-talkies, body armor, law enforcement uniforms, drones and extremist literature were discovered.

A statement from the intelligence services was published on the committee’s official Instagram page, which details the circumstances of the case. Suppressing the activities of this group was an important step in ensuring security and stability in Kyrgyzstan, preventing possible tragic consequences for the citizens of the country.
