The State Tax Committee (STC) of Uzbekistan conducted an audit of the activities of the Russian online retailer Wildberries operating in the country. The audit covered the period from 2022 to 2024 and revealed non-compliance with tax legislation.

According to the State Tax Committee, as a result of the audit, Wildberries was forced to pay 51.2 billion soums to the budget, of which 42.8 billion was the value-added tax (VAT). The committee emphasized that the company has fully repaid the identified debt.

Experts note that Uzbekistan's tax authorities continue to actively work to ensure transparency and compliance with tax obligations by foreign companies conducting business in the country.

Wildberries is one of the largest online platforms in the CIS, offering a wide range of goods, including clothing, electronics, cosmetics, and household appliances.
