Lola Eltoyeva Honored as Best Theatre Actress at TURKSOY Awards

Uzbekistan’s Merited Artist Lola Eltoyeva received the international award for “Best Theatre Actress” at the prestigious TURKSOY ceremony in Istanbul, bringing together theatre professionals from across the Turkic world.
The 11th edition of the TURKSOY International Theatre Awards took place in Istanbul, organized by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in cooperation with the Turkish newspaper Anadolu. The event recognized outstanding theatre figures from member countries for their achievements in 2025.
Lola Eltoyeva, an actress at the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre and a Merited Artist of Uzbekistan, won the award for Best Theatre Actress. Other laureates included Erenbak Toykenov from Kazakhstan (Best Theatre Director), Sadyr Niyazakonnov from Kyrgyzstan (Best Stage Designer), Ali Emirli from Azerbaijan (Best Playwright), and Batyr Charyev from Turkmenistan (Best Theatre Actor).
TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sait Yusuf emphasized that theatre plays a key role in preserving the shared cultural identity of the Turkic world, and international artistic connections allow creative teams to better understand one another.
The ceremony not only recognized individual achievements but also served as a platform to develop Turkic world theatres, showcase their cultural heritage, and strengthen collaboration among countries.
