French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Uzbekistan at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The official visit began with a solemn meeting in Samarkand.
Today, 2 November, the two presidents of Uzbekistan and France met in Samarkand. The heads of state took part in the ceremony of official meeting, which marked the beginning of the visit of President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.
A guard of honour was organised on the square in front of the Congress Centre, and a military band played the national anthems of both countries. The solemn march of the guard of honour in front of the heads of state underscored the importance of the meeting.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly greeted the French President and invited him to the podium.
