Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Economy Botir Zakirov was released from his position

Priority tasks in the construction and transport complex were discussed at the video selector meeting on the first half-year analysis of ensuring economic growth rates in regions and sectors and priorities until the end of the year, which was chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The construction sector grew by 10% in half a year and reached 80 trillion soums. Nevertheless, it was noted that the time has come to seriously engage in cost reduction in construction without giving in to complacency. It was noted that the cost of construction does not depend only on the land and building materials, the complex procedures of matching technical requirements, agreeing on the project, and obtaining a construction permit also affect the cost.

The Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Economy, Botir Zakirov, was released from his position due to his health, and the first deputy minister, Sherzod Hidoyatov, was appointed acting minister.
