Uzbekistan expressed deep concern over the rapid escalation of the situation in the Middle East and called on all parties to negotiate for a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
"The rapid escalation of the situation in the Middle East causes deep concern in Uzbekistan," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
As stated in a statement released by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahror Burkhanov, "Uzbekistan always calls on all parties in the region to act for peace and resolve the situation through mutual negotiations."
The statement came after the US struck nuclear facilities in Iran. Against this backdrop, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan recommended that citizens of the country refrain from traveling to Israel and Iran, and those staying in these countries should, if possible, move to safer areas.
"All necessary measures are being taken to ensure security. We urge our citizens to remain vigilant and closely monitor official reports," emphasized Ahror Burkhanov.
