Negotiations Concluded – The Seeds of Cooperation Are Planted
Uzbekistan
As the high-level Uzbekistan-European negotiations came to an end, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the European Council António Costa, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen jointly planted two oak trees on the grounds of the Congress Center in the ancient city.
This act has become a symbol of strengthening relations between Tashkent and Brussels. The tree planting reflects not only the parties' commitment to long-term cooperation but also their shared focus on the green agenda, sustainable development, and environmental initiatives.
Samarkand, historically a center of international diplomacy, once again serves as a venue for significant symbolic gestures, demonstrating Uzbekistan’s strong ties with the European Union.
