New initiatives of business cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan identified

The Uzbek-Japanese business forum held within the framework of the visit of Japan's State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Ryosuke Kozuki to Tashkent has identified new initiatives of business cooperation.
The forum, held in the capital on 10 January, was attended by heads of key ministries and agencies, industry associations, as well as representatives of about 200 major companies from both countries from various fields, including IT, energy, digital transformation, healthcare, agriculture, electrical industry, medicine, pharmaceuticals and other sectors.
During the event, the prospects for bilateral co-operation in IT, alternative energy, education and medicine were discussed. Panel sessions were also held on the following topics: "Prospects of Energy Transformation" and "Digital Transformation in Industrial Development. Japanese startups as a tool for the development of Uzbekistan's economy".
Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov emphasised that Uzbekistan has made significant steps in economic development and improving the investment climate, which contributes to attracting foreign investment and developing trade. He also noted Uzbekistan's active participation in international transport projects, which contributes to the diversification of interregional transport corridors and provides access to various markets.
The forum ended with the signing of 14 documents on cooperation in various fields, and a roadmap for the implementation of projects was formed.
