The agreement focuses on video content processing and delivery technologies. Nokia, which has invested over €129 billion in research and development over the past 20 years, holds a portfolio of more than 20,000 patents. Among these are solutions recognized with Emmy awards.

Samsung and Nokia had previously reached patent agreements, renewing them in 2013, 2016, and 2018. This collaboration notably covered 5G technologies and other standardized developments.

The new agreement aims to enhance the technological capabilities of Samsung televisions and provide users with higher-quality services. At the same time, Nokia continues to monetize its intellectual property portfolio, boosting revenues. This contract is a prominent example of innovative collaboration between leading global technology companies.
