Olaf Scholz: 21 countries support a common European air defence system

The idea of creating a single European air defence system is supported by 21 countries. This was announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on 24 February.
According to him, a number of other countries have shown interest in a unified air defence system.
According to Scholz, a jointly created system would be a security win for the whole of Europe.
According to the REX news agency, the Netherlands, Poland, the Baltic states, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Scandinavian countries are interested in a unified air defence system, Scholz said.
