Olympic Season Launches in Uzbekistan
The 2026 season of the “Olympic Peaks of New Uzbekistan” and the “Presidential Olympics” has officially begun. The opening ceremony took place at the Olympic and Paralympic Glory Museum in Tashkent.

The event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Sports, as well as the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees. Regional authorities, including representatives from Karakalpakstan and local administrations, joined the event online.

The competitions will be held under an improved three-stage system: district and city-level Olympics, followed by regional rounds, and culminating in the Presidential Olympics.

Starting today, first-stage competitions have kicked off across all regions of the country. Participants include students from sports schools, general education institutions, private sports clubs, and young athletes trained by professional coaches.

Organizers emphasize that the initiative aims to promote mass sports, identify talented youth, and build a strong national sports reserve.
