"This week, the Telegram team, led by the project's founder Pavel Durov and his brother Nikolai, visited Uzbekistan. Our country has a special warmth towards this service because Telegram is more than just the number one messenger for us. With its help, we not only stay in touch with loved ones but also get news, conduct business, and find necessary goods and services. One way or another, Telegram helps almost every mobile internet user. It was a great honor for us to welcome Pavel and his close ones to the hospitable land of Uzbekistan. It was immensely gratifying to personally experience that they are not only top-level professionals but also wonderful people with open hearts. We hope that their impressions of Tashkent, Bukhara, and Samarkand, as well as interactions with Telegram users, will inspire them to develop new technological solutions. I am confident that we won't have to wait long for this," wrote Otabek Umarov.

It is worth noting that Telegram founder Pavel Durov arrived in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, on June 24. Earlier, Durov announced his plans to visit Central Asia to study how people use Telegram and what their needs are in digital technologies. Before arriving in Tashkent, he had already visited Kyrgyzstan, from where he shared photos and impressions of the country.
