Uzbekistan improved its position in the ranking of e-government and according to the 2024 report of the United Nations study on e-government, Uzbekistan entered the group with a very high index (very high EDGI).
It should be noted that this is a significant achievement. Because the country's indicator has increased by 18 points from the previous rating, in general, Uzbekistan has improved by 24 points in the last two ratings.
By the end of 2022, Uzbekistan took 69th place with an index of 0.7265. In 2024, the country rose 6 places to 63rd place with an index of 0.7999.
For the first time in its history, Uzbekistan entered the group with a very high e-government development index.
The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, noted that the achieved result is higher than the target indicator of 0.75 for 2025 of the "Digital Uzbekistan-2030" strategy.
