Saida Mirziyoyeva: New Construction Must Develop Tashkent Without Overburdening Its Infrastructure

Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a working meeting with the initiators of major architectural projects, independent specialists, urbanists, and representatives of leading profile studios and universities. “Tashkent is growing rapidly, and we are increasingly reflecting on what its future will be, taking into account existing urban planning and environmental challenges,” Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized. She noted that joint efforts among specialists would yield effective responses to the issues facing the capital.
Special attention during the meeting was devoted to the role of the private sector in improving the urban environment. Government representatives reaffirmed their readiness to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs whose projects aim to enhance the capital's architectural appearance, ecology, and safety. Supporting responsible business has been designated as a key priority of the New Uzbekistan policy, fully aligning with the instructions of the President.
“Together, we have many tasks to solve—from the load on engineering communications and social facilities to issues of energy and water supply. New construction should develop the city, rather than create additional imbalance and overload its systems,” the Head of the Presidential Administration added.
The outcomes of the meeting established a foundation for further collaboration between government bodies, the expert community, and business entities. Systematic support for projects that serve the best interests of Tashkent’s residents and visitors will continue under a unified strategy for the capital’s sustainable development.
