President of Uzbekistan Honors Paralympic Champions

On September 12, 2024, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued a decree to honor athletes and coaches who achieved outstanding results at the XVII Summer Paralympic Games. The athletes represented Uzbekistan with pride and brought home historic victories.
According to the decree, members of the national Paralympic team in athletics and taekwondo were awarded the honorary title of "O‘zbekiston iftixori" Among the honorees were Tolibboy Yo‘ldashev, Nurxon Qurbanova, and Qudratilloxon Ma’rufxo‘jayev, whose determination and courage were highly praised.
Athletes in judo and shooting were also recognized with the title "O‘zbekiston Respublikasida xizmat ko‘rsatgan sportchi." In addition, the coaches who guided these athletes were awarded the title of "O‘zbekiston Respublikasida xizmat ko‘rsatgan sport ustozi"
The Presidential decree acknowledged not only their sporting achievements but also their dedication to promoting a healthy lifestyle and national pride.
These awards are expected to serve as a symbol of pride not only for the athletes but for the entire nation of Uzbekistan.
