The tournament in Karlsruhe, which brought together over 3,500 chess players, is considered one of the largest and most prestigious festivals on the planet. Competing in Section "A," Suyarov (FIDE rating 2514) displayed phenomenal resilience in the classical format. The young talent completed the 9-round distance without a single defeat, scoring 8 points. Thanks to superior tie-break points, he secured first place and claimed the top prize of 20,000 euros.

Notably, the Uzbek representative surpassed many opponents in the final standings whose ratings and titles significantly exceeded his own.

Simultaneously, other leaders of the Uzbekistan national team competed in the Grenke Freestyle Chess (Fischer Random) tournament. Nodirbek Abdusattorov finished 7th, Nodirbek Yakubboev 11th, and Shamsiddin Vokhidov 18th. The winner in this discipline was Germany's Vincent Keymer, who finished ahead of Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and the legendary Magnus Carlsen.
