On January 14, 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of Uzbekistan's Armed Forces and Defender of the Fatherland Day. According to this decree, significant achievements in enhancing the country’s defense capabilities, increasing the combat potential of the Armed Forces, and building a professional national army were recognized, along with efforts to maintain peace, stability, and public order, and protect the rights and freedoms of citizens.

As part of the decree, a group of military personnel and law enforcement officers were awarded high state honors. Among them were the "Courage," "Friendship" orders and the "Bravery," "Loyal Service," "Healthy Lifestyle," and "Shuhrat" medals. These awards were given for their contributions to protecting citizens' rights and freedoms, educating the youth in a spirit of patriotism, and preparing highly skilled personnel.

Today, Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces continue to play a crucial role in ensuring the security of the country and the inviolability of its borders. The awards for the Armed Forces and law enforcement personnel further emphasize the importance and social significance of their service.
