President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Surkhandara region on 16 November. The first point of the trip was a visit to the mausoleum of the great theologian Hakim at-Termizi.

"This calls us to realise even more deeply the value of peace and tranquility reigning in our country, to live with a sense of gratitude. The importance of conveying the importance of peace, scientific and educational heritage of ancestors like Termizi to the youth was emphasised. It was proposed to hold a scientific conference on these issues in Termez," the press service of the President said.
