At the meeting chaired by the President, it was noted that the complex's management reports that some $50 billion of foreign investment has come in over the past six years, but the impact of this investment on GDP, value added and exports has not been sufficiently analysed.

In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, who is responsible for the investment complex, has been warned that he may be dismissed if he does not rectify the situation by the end of the quarter.

Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Badriddin Abidov and the head of the Agency for Technical Regulation, Dilshod Sattarov, were dismissed from their posts due to deficiencies and negligence in their system.

In addition, the President instructed to dismiss deputy ministers and hokims within the investment complex whose plans and results are not up to par, as well as to define specific key performance indicators (KPIs) for them, and then hire them back based on a one-year agreement. Depending on the outcome, the agreement will be extended or terminated.
