Protests Continue: Zelensky Responds to the Situation Around Fedorov
Following reports of the dismissal of Ukraine's Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, protests were held in Kyiv, Lviv and several other cities. Demonstrators opposed the personnel decision, arguing that continuity in defense reforms should be maintained.

Commenting on the situation, Mykhailo Fedorov said that people had taken to the streets not to support a particular official, but to defend their own interests and the future of the country. In his view, Ukraine had recently achieved positive progress on the battlefield and in the air, but the current personnel changes could affect that momentum.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly commented on the leadership change at the Ministry of Defense for the first time. According to him, disagreements between the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense were systemic in nature and affected various levels of governance. Therefore, the decision was not driven solely by personal considerations.

The head of state also said that he understands the public reaction to the developments and is paying close attention to the views expressed by citizens.
