Research Support Fund to be Established

A presidential decree (PQ-48) on “Additional Measures for Organizing Analytical and Research Activities” has been adopted. According to the decree, a Research Support Fund will be established under the Coordinating Council for the Organization of Analytical and Research Structures.
The fund’s resources will be accumulated in separate accounts opened within the Fund for Reconstruction and Development and will be spent in accordance with the procedures determined by the Coordinating Council.
The fund’s resources will be directed towards the following purposes, including:
Conducting research in line with the activity areas of the Coordinating Council;
Providing grants for the preparation of analytical materials and conducting research;
Carrying out social surveys and studies of public opinion.
The Coordinating Council will oversee the targeted and efficient use of the fund’s resources.
The Coordinating Council is authorized to:
Deposit the fund’s resources in bank deposits in national and foreign currencies;
Attract grants and non-repayable technical assistance;
Provide individuals and legal entities with paid access to research findings, databases, and participation in events.
