Two Uzbek boxers have made the shortlist for a prestigious international award. Javokhir Ummataliyev and Fazliddin Erkinboev have been nominated by World Boxing for the title of 2024 Boxer of the Year.

Their rivals in this prestigious nomination are the strongest representatives of other boxing schools: Brazilians Luis Oliveira and Yuri Falcao, as well as Kazakhstani Mahmud Sabirhan. Thus, the struggle for the title of the planet's best boxer has turned into fierce competition between Uzbekistan, Brazil, and Kazakhstan.

The nomination of two athletes from Uzbekistan at once is a clear recognition of the growing authority and success of the Uzbek boxing school on the world stage. The victory of any of them will be a historic event for the entire sports of the country.

The voting results and the name of the winner will be announced by World Boxing in the near future.
