Uzbekistan is positioning itself as a pivotal moderator in global security affairs. The hallmark of the meeting was the discussion regarding the initiative to transform the Samarkand Forum into a permanent international dialogue platform. This strategic move would enable experts and law enforcement agencies from various nations to exchange expertise and coordinate actions in real-time, rather than through sporadic gatherings.

Beyond traditional narcotics interdiction, the parties focused on the most pressing modern challenges:

Cybercrime: Countering digital threats and safeguarding network infrastructure.

Transnational Corruption: Implementing transparent oversight mechanisms and interstate asset recovery protocols.

Organized Crime: Dismantling shadow business networks at the regional level.

Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed confidence that Uzbekistan’s recent election to the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice would open a new chapter in relations with the international community. Membership in this body will allow Tashkent not merely to follow global trends but to actively participate in shaping the global agenda for criminal justice.

The meeting confirmed that Uzbekistan is ready to transition from local measures to systemic leadership in ensuring security across Central Asia.
