Samarkand International Airport ranked among Europe's top five airports

According to the rating of the European division of the Airports Council International, Samarkand International Airport has entered the top 5 largest airports in Europe.
In October, Samarkand Airport ranked fourth among regional and small airports serving between 100 thousand and 1 million passengers per year, showing an increase of 139 per cent compared to October 2019. At the end of ten months, it ranked third, showing an increase of 103.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2019.
The airport's flight network continues to expand and since the beginning of this year, flights to 7 domestic and 20 international destinations have been opened from Samarkand. Among them are Tel Aviv, Urumqi, Jeddah, Kuwait, Izmir, Mineralnye Vody, Ufa and Samara, Urgench, which were launched for the first time.
