Shavkat Mirziyoyev advocates for further development of full-scale partnership with Saudi Arabia

On 15 April, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, as reported by the press service of the head of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, issues relating to the further expansion of multifaceted Uzbek-Saudi relations and full-scale partnership in the context of practical implementation of high-level agreements were discussed.
Currently, active contacts and exchanges of delegations at various levels continue. Trade volumes are increasing, as are the number of joint ventures and the frequency of flights.
Projects in cooperation areas such as green energy, agriculture, healthcare, transport infrastructure modernisation, IT, and other priority sectors have commenced.
Particular attention was given to the careful preparation for upcoming events, including the second summit of the "Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf" dialogue in 2025.
Additionally, other regional agenda issues were discussed, including the situation in Afghanistan and the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue.
