Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded Türkiye's highest state honour

As part of his visit to Ankara, a ceremony was held to award the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with the "Order of the Republic of Türkiye," reports the press service of the Uzbek head of state.
The highest state award of the brotherly country was ceremoniously presented to the Uzbek leader by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"It is a great honour for me to receive such a high award from the Republic of Türkiye on the day of signing the Declaration on Deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our countries. This award is a symbol of the millennia-old fraternal ties between our peoples, the trusting dialogue at the highest level, and the rapidly developing multifaceted bilateral relations," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It should be noted that, in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, this highest order is awarded to statesmen who have made significant contributions to the development of friendly relations with Türkiye.
