Shavkat Mirziyoyev meets with Lukashenko

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the CIS summit in Bishkek on 13 October. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
It is noted that they discussed topical issues of bilateral relations.
At the meeting it was noted with satisfaction that multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus are developing rapidly.
"The indicators of mutual trade turnover are growing, the implementation of co-operative projects in various sectors of economy continues. Joint events in culture, cinema and sports are regularly held," the presidential press service said.
They also noted the importance of taking coordinated measures to further expand trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation, including the organisation of the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Forum of Regions and a meeting of rectors of leading universities of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
