Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Our main goal today is to create more jobs

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Foundry-Mechanical Plant in Tashkent on 19 March. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
Today the enterprise is capable of producing 1.2 thousand and repairing 1.5 thousand freight cars a year. The plant has a demanded range of products. In particular, six types of freight wagons are produced, including semi-open, closed, long-base, as well as those designed to transport grain, cement, mineral fertilisers.
Foundry production is a key branch, one could say, the "heart" of heavy industry. A foundry capable of producing 26 thousand tonnes of products per year was built at the plant at the expense of 120 million dollars. All types of spare parts used in railway operation and rolling stock repair are cast here.
"Our main goal today is to create more jobs. For example, this year we want to build 100,000 houses in our country. When are they going to suit people? When there are jobs near the house. Therefore, in neighbourhoods, as in the case of homestead plots, economic projects will be developed taking into account the proximity to apartment buildings. Those who are unemployed will be assisted in finding employment. Such plants play an important role in this," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
It was noted that it is necessary to increase production of goods for construction, municipal and other industries, to familiarise entrepreneurs with these opportunities, to increase the number of orders. This, in turn, contributes to the creation of jobs in related industries.
