Shavkat Mirziyoyev talks with the President of Korea

It has been agreed to hold a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee by the end of 2023.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on 21 November.
They discussed current issues of further developing friendship and special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, expanding multilateral cooperation.
Particular attention has been paid to the implementation of the agreements reached during the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in September this year in New York within the framework of the UN General Assembly.
The importance of continuing active dialogue and exchanges in various formats of cooperation was stressed.
Interest was expressed in accelerating cooperation projects of leading companies and forming a new programme of partnership with banking and financial institutions of South Korea.
It was decided to hold a meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Committee before the end of this year. The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Korea also discussed the plan of forthcoming high-level events.
