Participants emphasized the importance of developing a balanced and independent regional approach to Afghanistan, considering the historical, cultural, and economic ties between Central Asia and Afghanistan, as well as the shared interest in stability, security, and sustainable development. The sides confirmed their readiness to enhance cooperation in regional security, including the fight against terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, and drug trafficking. They also underlined the need to restore and expand trade, transport, and humanitarian ties with Afghanistan.
