A 3.5 MW solar photovoltaic station is being built at Turakurgan TPP
Uzbekistan
After commissioning of this station, it will generate 5.5 million kWh of electricity per year. As a result, 1.3 million cubic metres of natural gas will be saved.
At Turakurgan TPP, measures are being taken to cover electricity consumed for own needs from green energy sources. To this end, another solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 3.5 MW is being built at the power plant. This was reported by the press service of JSC "Thermal Power Plants".
After putting this station into operation it will generate 5.5 million kWh of electricity per year. As a result, 1.3 million cubic metres of natural gas will be saved. This project is planned to be completed and launched by the end of this year.
For information: in June this year at Turakurgan TPP a solar photovoltaic station with the capacity of 1 MW was put into operation, by today the station has generated 582 thousand kWh of electricity.
Solar panels with a total capacity of 60 kW and 6 solar water heaters with a capacity of 200 litres each are also installed on the roofs of the existing buildings of the plant.
