State Governance in Agriculture Sector to Be Further Improved

A presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan titled "Measures for Further Improvement of State Governance in the Agricultural Sector" has been adopted.
According to this decree:
The following positions will be added to the structures of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regional khokimiyats: Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Deputy khokims of the regions for agricultural and water issues — Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Head of the Regional Department of Agriculture;
In the structures of the khokimiyats of districts (the city of Quvasoy), the position of Deputy khokim for agricultural and water issues — Head of the District (City of Quvasoy) Department of Agriculture will be introduced.
They will focus on reducing state participation in the sector, increasing investment attractiveness, and implementing mechanisms to attract private investment flows to ensure food security, modernize, diversify, and support the sustainable growth of the food and agricultural sectors.
