Strong earthquake hits Philippines’ coast

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 has been registered off the coast of the Philippines. Information about this appeared on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
It is noted that the epicentre was located 148 km southeast of the city of Zamboanga, where live about 457 thousand people.
The origin lay at a depth of 621 kilometres.
