Subsidies will be allocated to those who grow raw cotton using their own funds

According to the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for the 2025 harvest, farms that grow raw cotton using their own funds and commercial loans and sell it on the exchange will be allocated a subsidy equal to 10% of the value of the generated invoice.

Futures contracts will be concluded between farms and processors on the exchange at freely formed prices, but not lower than the announced starting price, from November 1 of the current calendar year to June 1 of the following year.

Forward contracts will be concluded between farms and processors at mutually agreed prices from November 1 of the current calendar year to March 1 of the following year.

Spot contracts will be concluded in real time between farms and processors at mutually agreed prices for the volume of raw cotton stored in warehouses.

Farms without storage facilities or lease agreements must formalize forward contracts by March 1 of each harvest year or futures contracts by June 1.

In addition, a procedure will be introduced to refund 4 percentage points of interest payments on preferential loans taken for growing raw cotton as a subsidy to farms that repay these loans by the end of the harvest year (by December 31 of the relevant year).
