The commemorative events began with a traditional visit to the mausoleum of the great ruler. Leaders of the region, the city, and public figures honored the memory of Amir Timur by reciting verses from the Quran. Afterwards, the ceremony participants laid flowers at the Amir Temur monument in the center of Samarkand.

The statue, erected in 1996 to mark the 660th anniversary of the great Jahongir's birth, has long been a symbol of the city. And the Temur Mausoleum is one of the most visited tourist sites in Uzbekistan, attracting both local residents and foreign guests.

"Amir Temur is not just a hero of the past, but a source of inspiration for today's generation," emphasized historian Amriddin Berdimuradov. "It has become a symbol of strength, culture, and scientific progress, on which the foundation of the Third Renaissance in New Uzbekistan is being built."

Festive events continue in educational institutions, theaters, museums, and cultural centers of Samarkand, where lectures, exhibitions, and theatrical programs dedicated to the legacy of the great commander and philanthropist are being held.
