The flow of foreign guests to Uzbekistan increased by almost 50%

According to the National Committee on Statistics, Uzbekistan received 7.5 million foreign visitors in the first eight months of 2025. This marks an increase of almost 2.5 million compared to the same period last year, representing a 49.1% growth.
The largest share of tourists came from neighboring countries: Kyrgyzstan (2.16 million), Kazakhstan (1.77 million), and Tajikistan (1.7 million). Significant flows were also recorded from Russia (663,000), Afghanistan (304,000), Turkmenistan (243,000), China (135,000), and Turkey (113,000). India (42,000) and South Korea (30,000) also made the top ten.
In terms of travel purposes, visiting relatives accounted for the majority — over 5.16 million people. Tourism-related visits reached 1.15 million, business trips 837,000, and commercial purposes 288,000. Additionally, more than 62,000 visitors came for medical treatment, while over 14,000 arrived for studies.
