The G7 countries refused to recognize elections in the new territories of Russia
Political
The G7 countries (the USA, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Canada and Japan) plan to assure Ukraine that they will never recognise the results of the election in Russia's new territories.
The alliance leaders will seek to call on Russia to fully withdraw its troops from Ukraine and reaffirm its support for President Volodymyr Zelensky's "peace plan", including the restoration of the 1991 borders. Kiev also maintains that allied support will remain unchanged, including increased military aid and increased weapons production for the Ukrainian army due to ammunition shortages.
The G7 countries also intend to co-operate on resolving the conflict in Ukraine with the G20 countries, including Brazil and India, which have remained neutral on the issue. It is planned to introduce new sanctions against Moscow and strengthen control over compliance with the price ceiling on Russian oil.
