The official reserve assets of Uzbekistan in July decreased by $71.8 million to $33 billion 648.5 million as of August 1, 2023. This is stated in the review published by the Central Bank.

It is noted that the country's gold reserves decreased by $67.1 million, to $23 billion 20 million. The physical volume of gold also decreased by 0.3 million troy ounces (9.33 tons) to 11.8 million troy ounces (about 367.02 tons).

The foreign exchange part of reserves decreased by $14.9 million. As of August 1, the balance of foreign exchange reserves was $9.6 billion. Part of foreign exchange reserves in the amount of $1.1 billion was transferred from foreign banks to accounts with other central banks, the IMF and the MCB. Balances in foreign banks fell to $7.9 billion.
