President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The leaders exchanged congratulations on the birthday of the UAE leader, as well as on the holy month of Ramadan.
During the conversation, the parties emphasized the rapid development of Uzbek-Emirati relations, which have reached the level of strategic partnership since the January visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the UAE. A "roadmap" for the implementation of joint initiatives has been approved, and the portfolio of investment projects has exceeded $20 billion.
Key areas of cooperation include "green" energy, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, tourism, and private business development. Special attention was paid to the preparation of the second "Central Asia - Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf" Dialogue Summit to be held in Samarkand.
