During the meeting on improving the efficiency of public administration and responding to citizens' appeals, the Head of State criticized the work of the existing system of People's Reception Offices.

"Taking into account the identified shortcomings, all employees of the People's Reception Offices will be dismissed from today. Their positions will be filled by dedicated and competent personnel capable of solving problems in real terms," the President said.

According to the new procedure, from now on, the direct management of the People's Reception Offices in the regions will be entrusted to the khokims of regions and districts. They are instructed to start each working day precisely with the reception of citizens and the consideration of incoming appeals.

"Hokims should understand: today's problems should not be postponed until tomorrow. No repudiations. Local issues should be resolved on the spot - without redirecting them to other agencies," Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.

To strengthen opportunities at the local level, the powers of district governors will be expanded, and they will be additionally allocated resources to address citizens' appeals.
