The South Korean head of state believes the international community must integrate more closely to overcome the deepening military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

“Military cooperation between North Korea and Russia is illegal and unfair as it violates UN Security Council resolutions and various international sanctions,” Yoon Seok-yol said.

It is noted that Pyongyang could help increase its stockpiles of ammunition, which ran out during the conflict between Moscow and Ukraine, in exchange for economic assistance, as well as technology to modernize weapons systems aimed at South Korea and the United States.

The President of South Korea, in his speech at the UN General Assembly, talks about assessing Russian-North Korean steps. He added that he was discussing measures against this cooperation with the United States, Japan and other partners.
