The President of Uzbekistan and US top managers discussed multi-billion dollar projects

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a roundtable in New York with top executives of leading U.S. companies, investment funds, and financial institutions. The meeting marked an important step in elevating Uzbek-American economic relations.
Participants included senior representatives of Franklin Templeton, Citigroup, BNY Mellon, NASDAQ, Boeing, Mastercard, Visa, General Motors, Nvidia, Oppenheimer, Air Products, Cleveland Clinic, Cargill, as well as major Uzbek companies.
Mirziyoyev emphasized that during his recent conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, both sides agreed to build a long-term portfolio of joint projects, making the current dialogue particularly significant.
Over the past eight years, bilateral trade has quadrupled, with more than 300 U.S. companies investing in Uzbekistan. A National Investment Fund was also established jointly with Franklin Templeton.
Priority areas include critical mineral processing and resilient supply chains, IT and artificial intelligence, digitalization, transport and energy infrastructure, smart agriculture, and advanced technologies.
U.S. business leaders thanked President Mirziyoyev for creating a favorable investment climate and expressed readiness to participate in new large-scale projects.
