President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in our country to participate in the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mikhail Mishustin conveyed to the head of state the sincere greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The parties discussed the practical implementation of high-level agreements to deepen the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and alliance.
The steady growth in trade turnover was noted with satisfaction. Its volume has increased by 20 percent since the beginning of the year. Major projects in energy, metallurgy, and other priority economic sectors continue to be implemented.
Particular attention was paid to the adoption of comprehensive measures to maintain the momentum of trade and economic cooperation, as well as to supporting industrial cooperation projects.
The leader of Uzbekistan advocated for further expansion of practical cooperation at the regional level, as well as the promotion of cultural and educational exchange programs.
