On April 15, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed to the head of state the sincere greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The parties discussed the practical implementation of high-level agreements to deepen the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and alliance.
The parties noted with satisfaction the intensive contacts in all areas. Trade turnover is steadily growing, important industrial cooperation projects are being implemented, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the project to build the first integrated nuclear power plant in our country, as well as cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Agreements were reached to intensify cooperation in the areas of digital technologies, youth and information policy, media development, and civic initiative.
