On August 5, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in a special event focused on preparations for the upcoming Seventh Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State, to be held in Tashkent. The agenda centers on deepening regional cooperation and launching new integration initiatives.
President Mirziyoyev addressed the session in Avaza, where leaders and representatives of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan gathered to coordinate plans for the upcoming summit in Tashkent.
The Uzbek leader emphasized that during Uzbekistan’s current chairmanship, a comprehensive Concept and schedule of joint activities were approved. Sectoral meetings, security dialogues, media and youth forums have already been held.
Priority areas include enhancing political dialogue, boosting cross-border trade, strengthening transport connectivity, and advancing collaboration in water, energy, and climate sectors.
Special attention was paid to Azerbaijan’s active participation in regional initiatives, with ongoing joint projects in trade, transport, and green energy.
President Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that coordinated approaches among the region’s countries will lay a strong foundation for sustainable development and shared prosperity.
