President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol have made statements to the media following the summit talks held at the Kuksaroy residence.
The leaders highly appreciated the fruitful results of the meetings held in an open and friendly atmosphere, in the spirit of constructive and trusting dialogue.
"Although we are separated from Korea by a considerable distance, our peoples have similar customs and values, mentality and world outlook. As close friends, we are sincerely happy and proud of the tremendous successes achieved by the noble and magnanimous Korean people," the Uzbek leader said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted with satisfaction that a representative delegation of Korean business circles has arrived in Uzbekistan together with the President of Korea.
Confidence was expressed that today's business forum with the participation of more than 80 leading Korean companies and the prepared package of new projects worth $9.6 billion will give a powerful impetus to trade and economic co-operation.
A comprehensive road map will be adopted to ensure full and timely implementation of all agreements reached.
In addition, in order to provide comprehensive support and accelerate joint plans, the head of Uzbekistan proposed to introduce a multi-level mechanism of control and assistance to projects.
