The Presidential Decision "On additional measures to improve the disability identification system" (PQ-257, 16.07.2024) was adopted, “Huquqiy axborot” Telegram channel reports.

In accordance with the decision, citizens will be asked to contact family doctors through YIDXP, "Inson" social service centres, or social workers to determine the disability starting on September 1, 2024, as a step-by-step experiment in Tashkent city and districts (cities) of Navoi region, and ending on September 1, 2025, in the rest of the republic. a chance will arise whereby family physicians will electronically submit citizens' medical records for review by the Medical and Social Examination Commission (TIEK).

Also, the procedure for assessing the functionality of persons aged 18 and older will be introduced by the employees of "Inson" centers. In this case, the results of the assessment will not be considered a basis for determining disability until September 1, 2025

When a person is unable to go to "Inson" centers due to their health, the assessment of health status and functionality is carried out at the person's home or in the hospital where he is receiving treatment.

From October 1, 2024, the procedure for determining disability by specialized (psychiatry, physiatry and pulmonology, pediatrics) TIEKs will be canceled, and disability will be determined by inter-district and district (city) TIEKs.
