The US is deploying its army to the Middle East
World
Washington is rapidly reinforcing its military presence in the Middle East. Amid rising tensions with Iran, more than 40,000 American troops and dozens of heavy military units have already been deployed to the region. The scale of the operation raises serious concerns.
According to sources, the buildup may signal preparations for a potential conflict with Iran.
Since late March, over 120 U.S. military logistics aircraft have arrived in the region, including C-17 Globemaster III, C-5M Super Galaxy, C-130 Hercules, as well as refueling aircraft such as the KC-135 and KC-46. These aircraft are being dispatched primarily from American bases, notably Osan Air Base in South Korea and Ramstein in Germany.
Preliminary reports indicate that more than 40,000 U.S. troops are now stationed within the area of responsibility of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). In addition, air defense systems and other military hardware are being transported to the region.
Experts suggest that the increased deployment could serve as both a show of force and preparation for a possible escalation with Tehran. However, the Pentagon has not officially commented on the exact objectives of this extensive deployment.
