The US recognised difficulties in trying to seize Russian assets

The US administration is facing certain difficulties when trying to ensure the seizure of frozen assets of Russia. This was stated by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
"We are going to continue to be in active conversation with our allies and partners, including the G7 as well as members of Congress. On additional steps to cease Russia's aggression in Ukraine and to ensure Russia pays for the damage it has caused. I don't have any new announcement to make but it is a bit complicated because <...> it’s [assets] been held internationally. So it is a little bit more complicated," the press secretary said.
